How will payment be made?

How long will it take to receive payment?

Can I get a refund on my road tax?
Since October 1st, 2014, your vehicle tax (or “road tax”) can no longer be transferred to a new owner when you sell a vehicle.
- When you notify the DVLA of the change of keeper, you will automatically receive a refund for any full calendar months remaining on your tax.
- This refund will be sent to the registered keeper’s address that the DVLA currently holds for you, so it’s crucial to ensure your details are up to date on their records.
